WordPress: 24-Hour Has-Patch Marathon
Written by Stefan Vervoort on April 15, 2009The WordPress development team asks for your help. WordPress version 2.8 currently has 500+ active tickets that needs to be fixed before the release of the new version and the core developement team is busy with the bigger feature additions.
They ask you to fix these bugs and adress those tickets and that’s why they have introduced the 24-Hour Has-Patch Marathon . In that time, they hope (together with the community) squash as many bugs as possible.

You can find additional details over at the blog post over at WordPress.org. The marathon starts Thursday, April 16 at 8am Pacific time (that’s Thursday, 4pm UTC) and will end exactly 24 hours later.
I hope many people with the insight knowlegde of the WordPress core will help out and make WordPress better then ever!
